My New Favourite Thing
Wednesday, February 9, 2011 at 9:38PM At the end of last week's week-a-boo post, I mentioned I got something new, pink & shiny :) Due to rainy weather the last couple of days, I haven't been able to use this new piece of white & pink joy.....but yesterday, as I clocked off from work at 3pm & raced home to pick Ella up from daycare, I was super excited by the warm, sunny afternoon! Ella was just as excited when I told her what I had planned for the afternoon:
And here, she is....my new favourite thing:
Yep! I got a new bike and a super-cool little wagon for Ella to sit in :) I've been eyeing off these funky 'old-school' bikes for a couple of years now....and finally got one on the weekend :) Ella just LOVES sitting in the canvas trailer! The whole way along our street yesterday afternoon, I could hear her squeals of delight! "Yay this is so fun Mummy! We are going so faster! Adventure is out there! Let's go on the bumps Mummy! Can we do this tomorrow? Let's go on an adventure Mummy!" {i've said it before...but this girl can talk under water haaa} as she sat there all snuggly & strapped with Ellie the Elephant in arms :)
It was so fun! Just me & my girl, crusing along!
We went to the park at the end of our street, and then ventured through the pathway beside the train-tracks through a little forest & over the local creek!
I can't wait to use this new toy A LOT more :) Such a great way to get out & about as a family, enjoy the fresh air & get some exercise! I can't wait to load the bike into the car, with the wagon trailer, and a packed picnic & head down to the beach to enjoy the many winding pathways along the gorgeous coastline :)
I haven't had a bike since....gosh.....pre-teen years I think!
I love my new bike! Oh the adventures we'll have :)
