Welcome to the bloggy home of Claire Chadwick. I'm the face & designer behind Scissors Paper Rock Designs, a wife to Chris, Mummy to the Divine Miss Ella & our newest addition; Baby Ryder. I'm a Primary School Teacher by trade, but recently shut my classroom door to pursue other BIG dreams of Freelance Writing. I am also excited to announce that my first Children's Picture Book {So Many Sounds} will hit stores in June 2013. This blog is my little online space where I weave together my reflections and stories of Motherhood. I illustrate with photos.... and drink plenty of coffee to keep me going. I'm on a mission to turn the mundane moments of motherhood into MAGICAL ones.

Join me in seeping as much goodness out of life, {whilst I continue to drink way too much coffee & take way too many photos} and together we can make the most of our WILD & PRECIOUS LIVES!

I'd love to hear from you....comment on my posts or send me an email. Buckle up, Enjoy the ride!

Live! Laugh! Love!

Scissors Paper Rock is on MADEIT.....

I've always been a fan of online shopping......it's quite addictive really.....no battling the busy shopping centre carparks or crowds...and hey, you can do it in your pj's whilst sitting on the couch....perfect for a busy girl I think :) My online shopping addiction started with Ebay many years ago...which then lead to most stores & retailers offering an online shopping option, which I was very pleased to see!! Then I discovered the magic of ETSY.....and then MADEIT! Madeit is fantastic & it's my new shopping obsession! It contains all Australian HANDMADE goodies....I love it! If you are a follower/reader of my blog, you'd know that I'm a big supporter of the handmade industry....and that's what I'm LOVING about madeit!

Today was an exciting day for me....because....DRUM ROLL......I opened my own MADEIT store!! I've wanted to do for it a while now....but struggled to find the time! However, having 2 weeks off work & at home {recovering from my surgery}, I used this time to design, create & present a new branch of Scissors Paper Rock......my line of PRINTS :)

You may wonder why I would open a madeit store, when I already have my own website & online store.....but I wanted to to be a part of the madeit community, it truly is a magical place!

Please head over to Scissors Paper Rock's madeit store to view my line of PRINTS! I have some more to upload in the coming weeks {some super cute personalised name prints for your baby's/child's bedroom} as well as a range of invitations, greeting cards & positive quote cards! I will also give my website a make-over & add all these goodies to it too :) Busy Busy ;o)

Here's a sneak peak of some of my prints & paper goods on my madeit store:

Please pop in to see the rest of the new designs :)

Spread the word about Scissors Paper Rock's new range of printed goodies! A giveaway coming soon!!!

Paper Heaven.....

I thought I had died and gone to Paper Heaven when I saw some images of Urbanic Paper Boutique in Venice, California. I have a little obsession with beautiful, unique papers & stationery lines {hence the birth of Scissors Paper Rock}. Oh how I wish I could just 'pop' into this amazing looking store.....imagine how many hours I could spend browsing their goodies :) Maybe one day I'll travel to the USA & actually step foot into this store & meet the Husband & Wife owners, Audrey & Joshua.

To see Scissors Paper Rock as a retail store like this, would be a DREAM COME TRUE!!!!! One day!

{Images of this dreamy store found at Vera and Rose, who found them here.}

Wallpaper?

I'll be honest, I've never been a fan of wallpaper!! I think that's because by the time I was old enough to take notice of home & room decor....most wallpaper designs around were either faded floral or fluro glary stripes from the 70's...which were all usually peeling & completely out of fashion by then!

But....over the past year, I'm seeing {or taking note of} MORE & MORE wallpaper being used to decorate & stylise a room! And.....I LOVE it ;o) If done correctly, wallpaper can really jazz up a room and completely change it's overall feel & look.

Do you have wallpaper in your house?

Here's a few inspirational photos of how AMAZING wallpaper can look:
