Week-A-Boo.......{a clean house & pony rides}

Oh hello there!! And yes....sorry {again} for my Week-a-Boo not making it online last night.....another busy weekend was had, so I decided to enjoy another early night & save my weekend posting for this morning :)

How was YOUR weekend?

Ours...all summed up.....contained goodbyes, dinners out, a rainy trip to the Mountain Markets, pony rides, runny noses & a VERY clean house!

Saturday night we went out for dinner down the coast to my new favourite Mexican restaurant! Oh.My.Goodness....the food was AMAZING!!!!! I'm still in a full-tummy, mouth-watering daze over it :)

We were farewelling Chris's Brother Matthew as he is about to jet-set off to New York to live the dream....chase his dream! Ella's going to miss her Uncle Matty:

{Matty, Ella & Brian (family friend)}

{Enjoying the GOOD food!}

{And, yep...there's that signature pose again! Haaa}

Ella's strawberry tee from KASIABEAR.

{Ella had a play with Mummy's camera!! A pretty decent shot of Chris & I, by our little budding photographer}

Sunday, then greeted us.....at 5:20am in true Ella style :) I wasn't feeling too crash hot {I think I over ate at the restaurant.....but hey those chocolate nachos were just too good haaa} and Ella awoke with a runny nose, weezy chest & a cough :( A day of cleaning was needed.....our house is on the market & the real estate agent is coming around today to photograph. We have bought & sold property before & moved house a couple of times, but never with a child in toe! And as most of you would know....where there's children, there's mess & clutter & 'stuff'. However the stars all aligned this weekend for me :) Chris told me not to worry about cleaning....he would do it all while I was took Ella out on Sunday morning :) {yep, he's a keeper lol}. So Sunday morning, Ella & I piled into the car with several of my closest friends & we headed up the mountain! Of course, it rained as soon as we got to the lovely mountainside markets, so we huddled under umbrella stalls & waited it out. But then the rain eased so we enjoyed a stroll around, bought a few goodies, pigged out on roasted nuts & fresh fudge & mini profitjes. I loved getting a bit of a 'break' whilst Ella chatted the ears off of my girlfriends, and I loved watching her being loved by them!! To end the morning, Miss E enjoyed a $5 pony ride :)

{Ella's gorgeous tee from Sweet n Sexy Scraps}

And then we saw this little fella, and had to give him some attention! Whilst the other ducks were fairly 'good looking', this little dude had a very cool {but hilariously funny} mullet-do happening! Hey, even the ugly duckling deserves some lurve!

And...yes....on returning home on Sunday afternoon, the house was SPOTLESS! The man can clean! Vacced, mopped, scrubbed, tidied, de-cluttered....he'd done the LOT!!!!! Thank you Chris xo!

With a trip to the Doc's to check out the little Miss, she has a bout of bronchitis again! So a new puffer, some liquid steroids and some antibiotics & we're already on the mend!!! Does anyone else's child seem to constantly catch anything & everything from being in care? Oh the joys of kindy-germs :(

Please, tell me all about your weekEND!! Link up below if you're a blogger or even if your have some photos on Facebook, Flicker or Photo Bucket!

Have a great Monday everyone!

Week-A-Boo.......{packed bags & blue skies}

So....Ella has this new 'hobby' and it's driving me totally NUTS!! No, seriously, I may have been spotted sitting in the corner rocking back'n'forth fighting my OCD tendencies a few times this weekend :) I have no idea where this new activity of hers has come from.....but she is quite happy to spend many an hour, independently, packing every little thing in sight into all her handbags, backpacks & suitcases! And I mean EVERYTHING!!!! Every little annoying part & piece of toy, her MANY hair clips, puzzle pieces, board books, makeup, crayons, chalk, magnets.....ANYTHING & EVERYTHING!!!! The mess......OH THE MESS!!!!!

{Yep, here she is....caught on camera....packing YET ANOTHER bag with....crap!!!}

You may thinking "what's the big deal with that?" BUT......I can't just shove the packed bags & containers away in a cupboard & have the contentment of "out of sight, out of mind!".......OH NO, NOT ME!!! I'm that anal OTT Mummy who has colour coded containers & baskets :) 1 for hair clips, 1 for jewellery, 1 for hair ties, 1 for crayons, 1 for bangles, 1 for lip glosses, 1 for small toys, 1 for books.....etc....you get the gist?! So....seeing my neatly arrayed containers all empty and their contents strewn over the lounge room floor and/or packed away in millions of little 'Dora' bags {several times a day} is SENDING ME BATTY!!!! I know I shouldn't be complaining....especially after everything the flood victims have been through....but I had to vent, sorry!

BUT....onto the BRIGHTER things :) The weather today, looked a little like this:

{Oh yeah baby....that's blue skies you're seeing!!!!}

So, we headed to the park for a quick play while Mother Nature was being kind {and so I could turn my back on the 'packed bag chaos' back at home} :)

This weekend, we also headed to a little Cutie Patootie's 3rd Birthday Party:

{rainbow face paint....of course!}

{other kid's toys are always so much cooler & so much more fun than your own!! lol}

We also enjoyed a walk down to the Tavern for some drinkies & dinner to welcome home Chris's brother, Matt! Matty has been working at Universal Studios in Japan for 2 years as a performer & has finally returned home....but about to jetset off OS again :) Ella loved having her Uncle/God Father here....another person for her to entertain :)

{Ella & Daddy [and Woody] on the walk to dinner}

HOWEVER, we haven't been out & about all weekend :) We've enjoyed a few lazy moments of cooked breakfasts, afternoon snoozes & tea parties on the lounge room floor:

{ above: I love this photo!! It perfectly depicts one of our 'plastic tea parties'....moments I'll always cherish}

Ella's latest favourite movie is.....the good ole' WIZARD OF OZ!!! She loves it! Absolutely 'tootin frootin' loves it! She sings along with each & every song and EVERYTIME she watches it she gets scared of the witch, cries along with Dorothy & cheers when the 'wicked old witch is dead'....everytime...without fail! It's priceless to watch her reactions & emotions :)

And, last but not least.....today, we ORGANISED!!!! Each year, I like to start fresh! I don't set myself many new year's resolutions anymore, but I like to start the year with a few things in order! As this new year rolled around, I had an urge to add a few 'homey' touches to our house! A clean out was also needed! And so..... a CLEAN OUT we did!!! We got a large skip bin delivered last weekend......I know that sounds extreme and I was apprehensive when Chris suggested we get a skip instead of just a carload-tip-run! BUT.....with the big metal bin perched on our front yard, I was compelled....I was motivated to be ruthless!!! And do you know what?......we filled that bin :)) If an item wasn't being used, bringing us joy or bringing beauty to our home....it had to go!!! Oh yeah, we culled...BIGTIME....and it felt GREAT!! I then attacked the main bedroom & started to re-decorate it and next was the dining area! A trip to IKEA was conducted & a few supplies from the local hardware was included. Then today, my lovely Chris, worked pretty much ALL DAY at home! He hung pictures, fixed towel rails, drilled holes, put up shelves, then re-hung frames that I had made a mess off LOL, he pressure-cleaned the whole exterior of our house, back patio, every window & all of Ella's outdoor play equipment......he well & truly made this new year feel fresh & clean & organised.....so, Chris....THANK YOU!!! {and let's assume that frame-hanging is not my calling in life!!! haaaa} We then relaxed & wound down with dinner tonight out our little tacky local pub {but man oh man, the food is gooooood! and ELla loves the playroom!}

Happy Weekend to y'all :) Wishing you all a gorgeous week ahead!
