Welcome to the bloggy home of Claire Chadwick. I'm the face & designer behind Scissors Paper Rock Designs, a wife to Chris, Mummy to the Divine Miss Ella & our newest addition; Baby Ryder. I'm a Primary School Teacher by trade, but recently shut my classroom door to pursue other BIG dreams of Freelance Writing. I am also excited to announce that my first Children's Picture Book {So Many Sounds} will hit stores in June 2013. This blog is my little online space where I weave together my reflections and stories of Motherhood. I illustrate with photos.... and drink plenty of coffee to keep me going. I'm on a mission to turn the mundane moments of motherhood into MAGICAL ones.

Join me in seeping as much goodness out of life, {whilst I continue to drink way too much coffee & take way too many photos} and together we can make the most of our WILD & PRECIOUS LIVES!

I'd love to hear from you....comment on my posts or send me an email. Buckle up, Enjoy the ride!

Live! Laugh! Love!

Maternity Styling From ASOS

When you are pregnant buying clothes can be more of a nightmare than the joy they used to be. But fashion brands are slowly starting to realise the need for stylish, high quality fashion for you gorgeous mums to be, which is why the ASOS maternity range has a wide variety of all the latest trends in bump friendly styles.

For most of your pregnancy you will probably have to continue working as normal so smart work wear is essential. A stretch pencil skirt will look sophisticated and be a comfortable option as you progress through your nine months. To avoid having to splash out on more than you need go for pieces that will fit into your existing wardrobe as you will be able to keep your accessories, shoes and maybe even your blazer (well not done up anyway!) through your pregnancy.

As I have said clothes shopping may not be the most enjoyable experience right now but someone still has to do the food shopping, right?! For a dressed down casual look jeans and a cute blouse are a great option. To keep on trend choose a pair of jeans in a different colour, coral is a great choice, but if you prefer to stick to blue try a slightly different shade. Brogues and an oversized bag will complete the look.

For the odd occasions when your partner decides to treat you to a romantic dinner a dress is a perfect choice. Choose a style that you can wear to most formal occasions for the length of your pregnancy to avoid having to buy too much. Coloured lace is a gorgeous feminine look and is a key trend right now. Patent flats and an envelope clutch in nude shades will complement the vibrant dress beautifully.

So for a pregnancy that is full of your usual style buy key pieces that you can wear again and again for a chic yummy mummy look.
