Welcome to the bloggy home of Claire Chadwick. I'm the face & designer behind Scissors Paper Rock Designs, a wife to Chris, Mummy to the Divine Miss Ella & our newest addition; Baby Ryder. I'm a Primary School Teacher by trade, but recently shut my classroom door to pursue other BIG dreams of Freelance Writing. I am also excited to announce that my first Children's Picture Book {So Many Sounds} will hit stores in June 2013. This blog is my little online space where I weave together my reflections and stories of Motherhood. I illustrate with photos.... and drink plenty of coffee to keep me going. I'm on a mission to turn the mundane moments of motherhood into MAGICAL ones.

Join me in seeping as much goodness out of life, {whilst I continue to drink way too much coffee & take way too many photos} and together we can make the most of our WILD & PRECIOUS LIVES!

I'd love to hear from you....comment on my posts or send me an email. Buckle up, Enjoy the ride!

Live! Laugh! Love!

KONY 2012

Last night, the kids were safely tucked away in their beds & snoozing happily. I just sat down to do some work on my laptop with a red wine in hand. Chris asked me to come watch something with him. He was streaming something from his iPad to the Lounge Room TV. Usually when he asks me to watch something cool with him on YouTube....most of the time it's something to do with fitness or an extreme sport or a car/motor bike that does fast things etc :) But this video he asked me to watch with him was different! It was this:

KONY 2012 from INVISIBLE CHILDREN on Vimeo.

And I really encourage YOU to watch it too. You will need 30mins of uninterrupted, quiet time {haaa yes I know that's a hard thing to come accross these days.....but it'll be worth it}. It was the most powerful video I've seen in a long time. I cried in it. It's clever, it's important, it's cool.

Watch the link, spread the word, get involved. I will be.

I want ALL children no matter where they live to have the simple rights that my Ella & Ryder have: safety, family, education, food, health, fair human rights, independence, love, reason & a home. EVERY CHILD deserves this!

I was born in Zimbabwe Africa so this cause hit close to me and I am going to do my part to put a stop to this war by donating some cash, buying the kit & spreading the word.

Can you help too?
