I've always been a stationery fanatic. Even as a young child, I collected scented erasers and novelty pens. I had stacks of pretty notebooks and diaries. And the beginning of each school year - armed with brand new pens and pencils, books, paperclips and a fresh new pencil case, was the highlight of my year! {yes, stationery does that to me haaa}

Favourite iPhone/iPad Apps.....and a giveaway!

When I met my husband {10 years ago this October}, he worked for an Apple Mac company. At that stage, the only time I had seen 'MAC' computers was on TV or in movies, or in offices of creative people, such as my photographer friend or the arts department of my university. So, I thought it was pretty cool that Chris not only a owned a MAC computer {do you remember those funky coloured ones, that were like a round bubble shape?} but worked with them!

I've never had a hard time choosing between Mac or PC.......MAC all the way baby!! I love Apple & everything that they've designed! I know this sounds superficial....but imagine today's world without the technodolgy advances from Apple!!??

So....10 years on.....Chris is now the CEO of a successful Apple-based business and we use nothing BUT Mac's in our household. I blog from my MACBook, I design on my large screen iMAC, I use my iPad & iPhone for every on-the-go situation & Ella....at age 2....had her own iPad! Sounds extreme....a little unnecessary maybe.....but I wouldn't have it any other way! Ella is a wiz on the thing! She scrolls through her Apps, practices flash cards & handwriting, she listens to interactive stories & completes puzzles, she streams her movies to our tv through our AppleTV connection, she searches YouTube, she draws & paints pictures, she watches her DVD's from it when we're out & about....the uses of an Ipad {for a child or adult} are ENDLESS!!! I even take it into my classroom every now & then for the kids to use to support or enhance their learning activities!!

Week~A~Boo.......{Unicorn Faces & a Soggy Sunday}

Ok, I'm trying to hold back a huge breakdown / tantrum here.....I just typed all of this week's WEEK-A-BOO post & was happily adding all my photos......to accidentally press the wrong button & just like that without a warning box or notification message....... IT WAS ALL GONE........and I CAN'T GET IT BACK!!!! O.M.G! Deep breath Claire.....just type it again!!! {Only problem with me.....I don't really plan what I'm going to write in each post....I just sit down, stare at the blank screen & let my fingers tap away madly whilst my little brain recalls all that it can....argh....so i'm going to pull on my memory as best I can here to re-type it all AGAIN!!!! Bear with me :)

Ok.....it pretty much rained non-stop ALL WEEKEND here! Living in a fairly tropical part of the world, it is expected that Summer will always bring sticky humid mornings, afternoon down pours & raging evening storms! But c'mon Mother Nature....what was with the weather this weekend? We had a constant dreary drizzle with the on-again-off-again bursts of loud down-pours & rivers gushing the streets! It felt like it was 6pm ALL DAY today.....dark & creepy & late! BUT.....in true 'seeping-the-goodness-out-of-life' style we still made the most of it & ENJOYED the weekend...all of it! {P.S. I think I may have secretly liked the fact the weather was so miserable, coz it gave us the perfect excuse to spend the majority of today all snuggled up at home, watching movies in the morning, wearing pj's til midday, enjoying microwave popcorn & homemade berry pancakes, crafting &..... I even scored a 1.5 hour nap with my little Miss this afternoon....it was so sweet....all snuggled up warm & comfy, our bodies entangled as we snoozed....until she woke & said "Oh no Mummy, my wee wee's keep coming out & they won't stop!!" on that note, we were up with a jump & changing clothes, bedding & underwear.....but smiling at the joys of being a toddler & accepting that bed-wetting is all part of the journey!}

Last night we went out to our 'local' with some gorgeous friends! It was LURVELY!! Not only was the food amazing & the company fantastic, but we won the meat tray {for the first time ever} YEHHH!....AND $10 on KENO....AND all 3 children got a 'skilltester' toy from the machine....AND a free face-paint session! Hey......what's not to love about all that?!

Yahhhooooo! Chris gets home today after his business trip up North! We've missed him so much!! It's also the end of the working week.....PLUS.....we are putting up our Christmas Tree & decorations this weekend....so what is not to be happy about today??
