Chris was away this weekend, in Melbourne Victoria, so it was a GIRL'S WEEKEND here at our place :) Although Ella is only 3...she is my little buddy! We do almost everything together & to be honest I enjoy it! Hey there's days when I crave nothing more than some "ME" time, and I imagine how quick I'd get the groceries or posting or banking done without a toddler in toe! But, most of the time, when it's her & I, we have fun.....my buddy & I. We miss Chris like crazy when he's away {thank goodness for phone calls, Skype & the Internet I say!} but we still have fun, and do things that are just for US GIRLS :) Like midday milk baths......just for the hell of it! Or gingerbread men for breakfast.....just because! Or watching "Tangled" as we snuggle in pj's on the couch way past her bedtime....because that's how girly nights roll don't they?
This weekend, we danced, we shopped, we met special friends for lunch, we bought new suitcases for our upcoming trip {more on that soon}, we did art n craft & played libraries and we jumped in muddy puddles {ok, Ella jumped in muddy puddles} in our flooded backyard!
It was nice......just my girl & me :)

Oh, and here is my 16 week belly shot :) I can't believe how much bigger I am this time around. When I was pregnant with Ella, I was just starting to pop around the 15 week mark.....but this time, I've had a definite baby belly for over a month now :) A 6kg weight gain already which has my body aching & I've prepared myself for another huge weight gain this pregnancy! I put on 30kg during Ella's pregnancy, which had it's effects on my usual 53kg frame. But it's all good :) For a good cause I say!
{And the dark purple scar on my lower tummy in the pic....one of my war wounds from last year's pregnancy loss surgery! A special little reminder of what could've been!}
