Celebrating 80's Style......{New Design}

You may remember a couple of months ago I blogged about some Christening Invitations I made for a lovely client! She then asked me if I could make some invitations for her Husband's 40th Birthday Party! He is having an 1980's themed bash......and here is what I put together for them:

A double-sided flat panel invitation on thick {Australian made & recycled} cardstock. One side is a personalised 80's cassette, whilst the party details & a few fun pictures are on the flip side! I also attached a small magnet on the rear, so guests can keep it on a board or the fridge :)

I had to print & assemble 60 of them! I teamed them with a bright yellow envelope! I had so much fun playing with the colours, images, fonts & fun of the 80's! Thank you for the opportunity Kirsten & Paul! And Happy 40th Paul :)

A Trip To Paris......{New Design}

A few weeks ago I was contacted by the lovely Erin at Vera and Rose and given a job proposal! She was approached by a client asking her to design & style a party for his wife's 40th Birthday. He wanted it to be French themed, to relive their wonderful holiday there several years ago! As soon as Erin asked me if I was able to custom design some invitations....I was ecstatic! As I've said before....I love designing new styles & playing with new ideas :) And this one sounded like such FUN!

I made 2 different styles of invitations & presented them to Erin, who passed them on to the clients! They absolutely loved the Paris Postcard theme and went with it!!

And......Here they are!

I really enjoyed playing around with the colours, theme & postcard design! I also recommend you head over to Erin's blog & become a regular reader of it, as it's always filled with beautiful, inspiring things! And I'm sure after the French Themed party has been & gone, she will post some pictures of her gorgeous event styling!

Custom Order {Hen's Night}....

I had so much fun designing & assembling these little beauties for a lovely client this week! Kylie is planning her best friend's Hen's Night & asked if I could put together the invitations.....of course...I was thrilled to be asked :) Kylie had seen my seeded paper Hen's night invitations on my website & wanted a similar design but with a few slight changes, such as colour & layout! Perfect! I love doing custom orders!

And here they are:

Simple yet elegant to represent their fun girl's night out! She requested a black, grey & white colour scheme! So I layered Grey recycled paper onto black cardstock & embellished with 2x clear rhinestones {have I mentioned how much I LOVE rhinestones? Any excuse to use them....and I do lol} The wedding dress die-cut is made out of 100% recycled paper embedded with Australian Native Tree seeds....so it can be removed and GROWN! On the back of the invitation there is details & instructions on how to grow the dress :)

I dropped them off to Kylie in the week & she LOVED them :)

Thank-You Cards {New Design}....

My lovely friend Kirsty recently had a gorgeous baby boy :) He {the bubbly little Brodie} is her 2nd child, 2nd son! A month before he was due, her sister hosted a High Tea Baby Shower for her {I blogged about it here}. Kirsty received some gorgeous baby presents for Brodie's impending arrival and she asked me if I would design some 'Thank You Cards" for the presents. At that stage, she knew she was having a boy....but hadn't told ANYONE {not even her Hubby......gosh I know she's someone who can keep a secret...someone to trust lol}. She asked me to make them in pastel colours as to not give away the sex!

Here's what I designed:

I printed the cards on Australian Made recycled white card. I used pastel colours of a pale yellow background, a decorative floral layer of baby pink, pale green & blue shapes & charcoal text. Inside the card was a personalised Thank You message and accompanied by matching pale yellow envelopes!

Don't forget I can custom make orders for you! Just contact me!

Invitations, Announcements, Greeting Cards...the list goes on, the sky is the limit :)

Shop Online.....

I'm excited to announce that Scissors Paper Rock now contains an online store :)

I've wanted it to contain a secure checkout since I opened it's virtual doors 3 months ago! But since I designed, built & maintain the whole website myself, it took a little longer than I planned! But that's ok....because it is now up & running and sponsored by Paypal :)

Having a 'purchase online' option allows people to order, pay & communicate in their own time & at their own pace! It also takes a lot of the 'quoting' time out for me.

However, I still love to hear from you all and I LOVE LOVE LOVE doing custom orders. I know people like to incorporate their own ideas, style & theme into their event so choosing from a limited bank of templates isn't always fitting! So...if you can't find the 'perfect' style on my website......PLEASE contact me for your next event as I love designing new lines of stationery, invitations and gift concepts especially to suit YOU and your event!

NEXT on the list......You will soon see Scissors Paper Rock on ETSY & madeit....yay!

ENJOY!!
