Favourite iPhone/iPad Apps.....and a giveaway!

When I met my husband {10 years ago this October}, he worked for an Apple Mac company. At that stage, the only time I had seen 'MAC' computers was on TV or in movies, or in offices of creative people, such as my photographer friend or the arts department of my university. So, I thought it was pretty cool that Chris not only a owned a MAC computer {do you remember those funky coloured ones, that were like a round bubble shape?} but worked with them!

I've never had a hard time choosing between Mac or PC.......MAC all the way baby!! I love Apple & everything that they've designed! I know this sounds superficial....but imagine today's world without the technodolgy advances from Apple!!??

So....10 years on.....Chris is now the CEO of a successful Apple-based business and we use nothing BUT Mac's in our household. I blog from my MACBook, I design on my large screen iMAC, I use my iPad & iPhone for every on-the-go situation & Ella....at age 2....had her own iPad! Sounds extreme....a little unnecessary maybe.....but I wouldn't have it any other way! Ella is a wiz on the thing! She scrolls through her Apps, practices flash cards & handwriting, she listens to interactive stories & completes puzzles, she streams her movies to our tv through our AppleTV connection, she searches YouTube, she draws & paints pictures, she watches her DVD's from it when we're out & about....the uses of an Ipad {for a child or adult} are ENDLESS!!! I even take it into my classroom every now & then for the kids to use to support or enhance their learning activities!!

• Words With Friends ~ it's like scrabble :) I've got 4 games on the go at the moment with 4 different people!
• Where's Wally? ~ YEP....you know that kid's book Where's Wally? It's an app too! A good thing to play when bored or waiting or needing to wake up your brain :)
• Hipstamatic ~ so much fun to take retro, vintage-look photos!

• ABC Wildlife
• Drawing Pad
• Toddler Flashcards
• YouTube
• Dora The Explorer
• Toy Story {story & puzzles}
• Itsy Bitsy Spider
• Flight Control

Posters for Kid's Rooms.........{by Scissors Paper Rock}

Earlier this year, I got a form submission from my website that really made me smile :) It was from a lovely Gold Coast lady.....a Mother of 2 gorgeous little toddler girls! From browsing my website & reading my blog, she had seen some of my print designs & had also discovered that I am a Primary School Teacher. She asked me if I was up to the challenge of creating some personalised, educational posters for her 2 little girls, including an interactive Reward Chart for their daily routine! I jumped at this opportunity! I create these kind of posters for my classrooms each year, but decided to start from scratch.....design something new for these girls, something I wasn't already using & something that I could call my own :)

I never really wear the colour orange....no real reason.....I just don't seem to ever choose it!!

Sunday Splash of Colour.....{Aqua}

Good morning gorgeous people! How's everyone's weekend going so far?

I'm feeling slightly better...still congested, but much better! Got out & about yesterday & had a brilliant day with friends & family :) Not sure what's on the cards for today....some adventure I'm sure :)

I thought I'd do a lovely bright splash of AQUA BLUE {Tiffany Blue} today! Our living room is decorated in a chocolate brown & aqua blue colour scheme! I love the vibrancy of Tiffany Blue!
