Welcome to the bloggy home of Claire Chadwick. I'm the face & designer behind Scissors Paper Rock Designs, a wife to Chris, Mummy to the Divine Miss Ella & our newest addition; Baby Ryder. I'm a Primary School Teacher by trade, but recently shut my classroom door to pursue other BIG dreams of Freelance Writing. I am also excited to announce that my first Children's Picture Book {So Many Sounds} will hit stores in June 2013. This blog is my little online space where I weave together my reflections and stories of Motherhood. I illustrate with photos.... and drink plenty of coffee to keep me going. I'm on a mission to turn the mundane moments of motherhood into MAGICAL ones.

Join me in seeping as much goodness out of life, {whilst I continue to drink way too much coffee & take way too many photos} and together we can make the most of our WILD & PRECIOUS LIVES!

I'd love to hear from you....comment on my posts or send me an email. Buckle up, Enjoy the ride!

Live! Laugh! Love!

Remembering.

The way he grabs his chubby little toes and yanks his knees up to his face, whilst his electric blue eyes sparkle. The way his face lights up when his Daddy walks into the room or his Mummy picks him up.

The rainbow we had over our house last week. After a dark dreary day, just as the evening was about to commence, we were blanketed by the most amazing rainbow I have EVER seen. It was more than vibrant....it was magic.

How grown up she seemed last Saturday, when I took the kids to the markets. As soon as she spotted the face painting table, she lit up! She waited patiently in line carefully studying the chart of face paint choices. And so maturely; she greeted the lady, expressed her wish to be a pink butterfly and sat there so poised. I swear she's been here before; this wise old little lady of ours :) She's 4, yet I forget that sometimes.

And she's so, SO beautiful..... inside & out.

His curiosity, his wanting to see it all. An overactive mind, a busy little boy. At 5 months old he's already frustrated by his limitations, but so proud of his abilities. He wants to be a part of the crowd, not to miss a thing....but at the same time, is so happy to be in the quiet of home, just doing his own 'thing.

With the simple question of; "Hey Ella, do you want to do some baking?" and she comes running, beaming with excitement. The girl loves to measure & pour & mix. She likes to bake. She likes to be with her Mumma, in the kitchen; making something sweet.

And how she seems 'so big' yet she's really so small. I love when she drags over her little pink chair, just so she can reach the kitchen bench. And how she sneaks chunks of the raw cookie dough when she thinks I'm not looking....and how I pretend like I haven't seen a thing :)

Remembering the simple things that make me smile. Capturing the magic of 5months & 4years. I'm a Mumma of 2....and that's pretty cool. For every frustrating moment & sleep deprived night, I still find this motherhood-gig pretty tootin' amazing!!

Constantly looking for the beauty in the everyday.

Remembering!

Happy Saturday All! What are you remembering today?
