Welcome to the bloggy home of Claire Chadwick. I'm the face & designer behind Scissors Paper Rock Designs, a wife to Chris, Mummy to the Divine Miss Ella & our newest addition; Baby Ryder. I'm a Primary School Teacher by trade, but recently shut my classroom door to pursue other BIG dreams of Freelance Writing. I am also excited to announce that my first Children's Picture Book {So Many Sounds} will hit stores in June 2013. This blog is my little online space where I weave together my reflections and stories of Motherhood. I illustrate with photos.... and drink plenty of coffee to keep me going. I'm on a mission to turn the mundane moments of motherhood into MAGICAL ones.

Join me in seeping as much goodness out of life, {whilst I continue to drink way too much coffee & take way too many photos} and together we can make the most of our WILD & PRECIOUS LIVES!

I'd love to hear from you....comment on my posts or send me an email. Buckle up, Enjoy the ride!

Busy.

I'm not sure if it's his age, a stage, a boy thing or just him......but nowadays, Ryder is very.....well....BUSY!

With each new day, he is starting to look {and act} more and more like a toddler. Not a baby.

He's into everything. Drawer handles, cupboards, sliding doors, chairs, climbing stairs & rearranging furniture are just some of his hobbies at the moment. He wants to stand, he wants to walk. He paces along furniture, and grins a big cheeky I'm-looking-for-mischief kinda smile. He falls and stumbles and looses concentration.

He is keeping me on my toes. All.The.Time.

Lucky he's cute :)

And he's still having piddly day naps {30mins is the average} and he's nowhere near sleeping through the night. Oh yeah, he's busy like that!

And his busyness is keeping me busy too. Our little blue eyed monster :)

His adventurous, curious nature is all kinds of fun. Exhausting and sometimes a little scary, but for the most part, it's a joy to experience.

And maybe with all this chasing around I'm having to do, I might loose these last few pregnancy kilos :) Nothing wrong with dreaming is there? :)

Seriously though, where did my baby go? We're already at this stage! Oh how time flies....when you're following a 10month old around the house watching his every move & cleaning up his trail of destruction :)

Happy Monday All.

He is all kinds of cute, and so grown up. Kind of surreal our baby being just 2 months behind Ryder, seeing the mischief that will soon be ours ;)

I think it's an age thing Claire, Sophie is EXACTLY the same - it's bye bye baby and hello toddler who is into EVERYTHING! If she makes her way into Grace's room, there's destruction galore :) The other day I wandered in and found she'd pulled all the clothes out of Grace's drawer and yesterday, she was behind me on the kitchen floor one minute and the next she was sitting on the door of the dishwasher which was down as I had been unstacking it. They keep us on our toes don't they?! Gorgeous photos of Ryder xx

Firstly, love the new shot at the top from your holiday. Secondly is it just a boy thing do you think? I have heard they are just so much more active and into everything?x

Ryder is a busy little bee. I enjoyed the baby cuddles yesterday with him. He is growing up so fast! Cassie x
