Welcome to the bloggy home of Claire Chadwick. I'm the face & designer behind Scissors Paper Rock Designs, a wife to Chris, Mummy to the Divine Miss Ella & our newest addition; Baby Ryder. I'm a Primary School Teacher by trade, but recently shut my classroom door to pursue other BIG dreams of Freelance Writing. I am also excited to announce that my first Children's Picture Book {So Many Sounds} will hit stores in June 2013. This blog is my little online space where I weave together my reflections and stories of Motherhood. I illustrate with photos.... and drink plenty of coffee to keep me going. I'm on a mission to turn the mundane moments of motherhood into MAGICAL ones.

Join me in seeping as much goodness out of life, {whilst I continue to drink way too much coffee & take way too many photos} and together we can make the most of our WILD & PRECIOUS LIVES!

I'd love to hear from you....comment on my posts or send me an email. Buckle up, Enjoy the ride!

A Messy Affair.

Now that Ryder is a big ten months old, he has started to insist on showing off his independence.

Meal times are becoming a very messy affair.

He MUST do it himself.

And this OCD Mumma is finding it hard. BUT.....I'm learning to just let go & embrace the mess, in all it's pureed glory. It's all clean-able afterall.

And me oh my, does he feel proud when some food actually makes it into his mouth.

Happy Friday Folks and a wonderful weekend to you :)

I'm off to scratch off dried vegie puree from the tiles :) Haaa!

This picture makes me grin! Our babies are super cute aren't they Claire? ;) neither of my boys have been big on this independence and I have an issue with Bebito STILL not feeding himself properly and he will be 4 next week! Little Lion is insistent on drinking by himself though so there are several changes of outfit a day at ours. Happy weekend lovely xxx

Clever boy!!! He looks pretty good with that spoon...perfect aim in the first and last shots :)

Lots of mess here at mealtimes too :) Sophie isn't into her spoon yet but wants to feed herself whenever she can so I usually give her some sort of finger food or picking food while I shovel spoonfuls of other stuff into her :) However, her latest thing is she wants what Grace or I are eating. This morning, I made her the exact same porridge as Grace, but she wouldn't eat it spooned out of the plastic bowl, I had to pretend she was eating it out of my china bowl!!

As for dried food on the floor, I looked down before to what I thought was a leaf that had been dragged in, only to discover it was several peas squashed flat into the floorboards - fun!

I love when babies insist on feeding themselves. Ryder does look proud. Cassie
