A trip to Australian Geographic.

This past post, won me a $250 Gift Voucher to spend at any Australian Geographic store. {Thank you Nurofen for Children for choosing me....this prize totally rocks! We LOVE it.}

So, yesterday, the kids & I headed to an Australian Geographic Store about 15mins from us. I was armed with the gift voucher - coz we all know there's something liberating about spending BIG without it effecting your bank account!!! Very cool.

Ella was super excited. As soon as we got into the Mall, she had a skip in her step, and kept saying "I wonder what great things we'll be able to buy in the Groographic shop Mum!!"

We spent a good 40 minutes in that tiny little store. Playing with the all the cool toys & science experiments. Ella was in her element with so many things to touch & play with & learn.

And we filled the pram with goodies we wanted to buy.

Some of Ella's choices were great - they were educational or fun, or very useful. And some were not. But again, when spending 'free money', it's much easier to be a little lenient & care-free with choices.

It really is a great store though.

And followed by a treat lunch at the Big Yellow Arches :) A perfect day in a 4yr old's mind :)

We still have a whopping $140 remaining on the gift voucher, and Ella & I have decided to use it closer to Christmas. Yesterday, not only did we get some awesome new toys for ourselves but we also got a few little things to put away in the 'present cupboard' for some of our special friends. We also got a 'hatching platypus egg' for Ella to take into her Kindy to experience with her classmates & teachers.

We've also decided to buy something FAB with the voucher to give to a person in need, a charity or to a friend unexpectatly. And I think we'll get a little something to throw into an upcoming blog giveaway too :) Just trying to share the love.....as I felt a little guilty with $250 all to ourselves. I'd rather share some of it.

What would you buy with a $250 gift voucher? One BIG thing.....or a heap of little things, like me?

P.S. A huge thank you to everyone who has ordered prints lately. I truly love doing every single order :)

Don't forget the 50% off sale. Ends August 23rd:

How cool!! I'd be exactly like you and buy small things :) What fun spending someone else's money and great you still have lots left. Your idea of buying something for the classroom, something for a less fortunate child etc. is wonderful. You are such a caring person Claire. Ryder looks like such a happy chappy in that last shot :) xx

Yay you got to take the voucher shopping! I bet is was fun. I would buy lots of little things too. I know my kids would love that store. Cassie x

Well done Claire!

I love the Australian Geographic shops, it's like a toystore for adults!

I'd definitely buy one of the awesome large globes they have, as DD1 and I both love maps and globes. And then some cool little things, like rainsticks or the pens that have the UV-reactive ink and the little purple lights in the end.

*sigh* sooo jealous right now. hahahah! =o)
