Welcome to the bloggy home of Claire Chadwick. I'm the face & designer behind Scissors Paper Rock Designs, a wife to Chris, Mummy to the Divine Miss Ella & our newest addition; Baby Ryder. I'm a Primary School Teacher by trade, but recently shut my classroom door to pursue other BIG dreams of Freelance Writing. I am also excited to announce that my first Children's Picture Book {So Many Sounds} will hit stores in June 2013. This blog is my little online space where I weave together my reflections and stories of Motherhood. I illustrate with photos.... and drink plenty of coffee to keep me going. I'm on a mission to turn the mundane moments of motherhood into MAGICAL ones.

Join me in seeping as much goodness out of life, {whilst I continue to drink way too much coffee & take way too many photos} and together we can make the most of our WILD & PRECIOUS LIVES!

I'd love to hear from you....comment on my posts or send me an email. Buckle up, Enjoy the ride!

Tea for Two.

Yesterday afternoon, while Ryder napped.....

Ella & I dined like 'true ladies'.....

We had a tea party.

A tea party for two.

{Well.....two of us, plus a fluffy toy duck...of course!}

We sipped tea {juice} from real {mini} china cups.

We raised our pinky fingers and admired the view of the pool.

We snacked on lamingtons, jam drop cookies, gingerbread men, fresh strawberries & flower shaped sandwiches.

We conversed. And called each other 'Mrs Mezmarend' {at Ella's request!}

It was nice. Just her & I. Being ladies....

Moments like this, days like this....

Make me sad that she'll be starting fulltime school in only 6 months time.....

I'll miss our weekdays together....just hanging out, together.

Tea for Two, how lovely. It looks delicious. Remember Ava's Tea Party month is August for her birthday! A fantastic excuse to have another one :). I am sad too about all the things I will miss when Mia heads off to Prep next year. I can't believe how fast it's gone. I love all the adventures we have on the weekdays, just her and I and also the playdates etc with friends. Cassie x

What a sweet moment to have captured and what fun! I love the look on your face in the first shot like you're pondering how on earth to grapple with such a teeny teacup :) The flower sandwiches are a great idea x

How sweet! Do you ever get your hubby in on the tea parties? Living in a house full of girls, my Mister has had a tea party or two. haha.

Kmart has some really lovely plain white cup+saucer sets for just $2 each so we use those as they are easily replaceable in case of breakage
