Liebster Award

So, the lovely Kate over at Tutus & Trikes, has awarded me {well....my blog} the Liebster Award.

I have to share with you 11 facts about myself, and answer a series of questions! I then have to tag some fellow bloggers, so they can participate and share along too!

Here goes.....

1. Chris proposed to me on my 21st Birthday.
2. I have a big love for pretty stationery. Typo is one of my fave shops at the moment.
3. Give me a hot summer's day over a cold winter's one.....any day!!
4. I was tiny as a kid. I got free admission into the Brisbane EKKA show when I was 12 as they thought I was under 5. What the?
5. I bite & pick my nails. Bad BAD habit I know!
6. The number 11 haunts me. It's everywhere I go, everywhere I look. {see even in this post....11 everything haaa}
7. When I was younger, I sooo wanted to be the Mother of twins! Now that I'm a Mother....I can't imagine having TWO at the same time!!!!
8. I consume way too much sugar.
9. I dye my own hair most months, as getting to a hairdresser regularly seems almost impossible with young kids.
10. I prefer red wine over white.
11. I eat Milo straight from the tin.

And the questions.....

1. What are some  family traditions you have created?

Each Easter the Easter Bunny brings new PJ's for the kids :) We do Fairy Dust before bed :) We acknowledge birthdays, no matter what! :) Friday afternoons is treat time - milkshakes or ice-cream are usually the pick!

2. Do you make your child's birthday cake or buy it?

I usually palm this job off to either of the Grandmothers. They are both creative and good in the kitchen :)

3. Ebook or paper book?

A like a mixture of both!! However, still love the tradition & feel of a real good paper book :) Especially kids ones!

4. Mac or PC?

MAC....definitely Mac!!! We live in a MAC run house :) Chris works in the industry :)

5. What famous person would you invite to a dinner party?

Loreli & Rory Gilmore, or Carrie Bradshaw -  I know they're characters.....but I'd love to dine with them :)

6. Dogs or cats?

More of a cat person!

7. Do you ever wear your Pjs out in public?

No. I have in the past. But can't remember the last time I did.

8. Number 1 tip for travelling with kids?

Snacks...and lots of them!!! Games - an iPad can be a life-saver during travel :)

9. Who's harder to toilet train- boys or girls?

Not sure....as I've only had to toilet train a girl. Ask me again in a few years once Ryder is out of nappies :) Ella was super easy though, if that's anything to go by?!

10. Whats the most important item in your handbag/nappybag?

My purse. I figure as long as I've got some $$, we can buy any emergency supplies if needed. But I try to always have a supply of formula and wipes on me :)

11. If you could have one object on a deserted island what would it be?

A cocktail :) Or my phone :)

Firstly, congrats on your award and secondly, thanks SOOO much for passing it on to me :) You're a sweetie and it means so much more coming from you as you know I adore your blog :) I love these awards, not just because of the 'bloggy love' they share around, but because I learn more about my fellow bloggers and am introduced to some new blogs too. I'm not familiar with all the ones above, so will be sure to check them out when I get a moment...

As for your answers, I'm loving Typo too at the moment. Your free admission story cracked me up :) What the?? I love your Friday afternoon treat tradition, might have to start that one here.

Oh Clare, you darling girl. Thanks so much - this is the first award I've received in eons. And such fantastic timing given what I've been posting about this week! Now I can pass it onto some more Planetarians - loving the bloggy karma! I love your family traditions - that's something we've been working on creating on Planet baby as well. And yep, I'm another Typo fan! J x
