Welcome to the bloggy home of Claire Chadwick. I'm the face & designer behind Scissors Paper Rock Designs, a wife to Chris, Mummy to the Divine Miss Ella & our newest addition; Baby Ryder. I'm a Primary School Teacher by trade, but recently shut my classroom door to pursue other BIG dreams of Freelance Writing. I am also excited to announce that my first Children's Picture Book {So Many Sounds} will hit stores in June 2013. This blog is my little online space where I weave together my reflections and stories of Motherhood. I illustrate with photos.... and drink plenty of coffee to keep me going. I'm on a mission to turn the mundane moments of motherhood into MAGICAL ones.

Right Now.

Right now....

  • Ella is at Kindy - it's PJ's Day. She was so excited to be changing out of one set of pj's this morning and into another pair :)
  • Ryder is napping - after a big fight of refusal.
  • My coffee cup is empty - I'm contemplating a refill.
  • Chris is out of the house - at a work meeting.
  • I can hear a helicopter flying past.
  • And a crow barking {yes, it sounds more like a bark than a chirp} in the forest behind our house.
  • I'm wondering what to cook for dinner tonight.
  • I'm ignoring my to-do list, so I can have a quiet moment to blog :)
  • Ryder is teething, which is never fun. Tooth number 3 cut through...FINALLY! Number 4 on it's way!
  • I'm excited about my upcoming birthday.
  • I'm hoping the dress I bought online to wear to my best friend's birthday arrives today ;)
  • And I'm looking forward to seeing my sister-in-law who is visiting from USA this weekend.
  • I'm slightly jealous of my parents photos of their current USA holiday!
  • I'm loving SKYPE. 
  • I'm thinking I should attack that HUGE mountain of washing before Ryder wakes up.
  • Hey, I'm also having 50% off all my prints online at the moment.

Right now.....is pretty good :)

I've been tackling our huge mountain of washing today too as it's sunny skies here. It was almost empty yesterday and then Paul dumped a whole heap of his riding clothes in there this morning... grrr!!! Hope toothy number 4 comes through soon for Ryder. Soph has another couple on the way too. Teethy and cranky bub = no fun at all! Did your dress arrive? Be sure to share a photo... x
