Fire in the Sky.

A couple of mornings ago, we awoke to this.
A fiery pink sky.
The one bonus of having children who love to rise early - we get to see the sunrise most mornings. And although somedays, I'd rather attain more sleep, I must admit watching the world wake as the first light creeps in, is pretty cool.
Usually the morning horizon out our back deck contains a bright golden glow of yellow, sparkly hues, but on this particular morning, we were greeted with a magical sight - a magenta sky. "Oh look Mummy.....it looks like there's fire in the sky!" Ella said, as we staggered down the stairs ready to start our day.
Although chilly out, I had to go outside to experience & capture it. It kinda was beautiful. A pallet of pinks & oranges with tinges of purple & grey.....with a few little snippets of blue sky peering through. It was mystical, and looked more like a painting than a 'real' view.
It made the potential of a new day even more inviting. Exciting in fact.
Whatever the day brought, we were ready.
A gorgeous way to start the middle of the week.
