I'd love to hear from you....comment on my posts or send me an email. Buckle up, Enjoy the ride!

snap it {growing}

Ella is 6 months shy of turning 5. That freaks me out. FIVE!!!!! She'll be attending fulltime school {Prep} next year and our days of crafting, baking, reading, playing, running errands, going on adventures and basically 'hanging out' are creeping closer to an end. I'm sad about that. In fact I tear up just thinking about it. I'm excited for her, as I know she is more than ready to be in school and I know she'll thrive. I'm excited about the things she'll learn, the friends she'll make and the experiences she'll have. But, I'm sad that my baby - my first born; is almost a fulltime school kid. Sniff Sniff.

She's growing!

She's growing from a fussy, high-needs baby into an easy, happy & social little girl. She's becoming more & more independent with each day, and every ounce of her being makes me so proud. She's funny and smart, and so full of life. She's a perfectionist and a fast learner. She has a rockin' memory but a very fussy appetite. Her brain never stops thinking, planning, analysing & creating.

Our creative, spirited little bug!

She's growing beautifully. She's getting so big!

Linking up with {snap it} over at Sarah's place.

Wow Claire, can you believe you're Mama to an almost 5 year old? Sounds like you're making the best of every moment with her and she sounds like she's growing in all ways not just height! Must be so exciting to see your children grown and learn.

Claire, this is such a great post. And why I love blogging, you and Ella can look back on this post on her first day of high school, University, work and more (maybe too much?)
Enjoy the rest of the year 'hanging out' with your growing girl.

ohh yes, this was me last year...relishing all that time with my son before he went to school! now he's in prep...loving it and we are adjusting to big chunks of time away from each other...but it makes the time we do spend, more precious! Ella is gorgeous xx

Yes I know how you feel. I remember when my daughter started school back in 2005 and I felt lost at home without her. I always looked forward to 3pm when I could collect her and bring her home. I did however soon realise how much I could get done through the day without her interuptions every 5 minutes.

Fast forward to 2012 and she started High School which was a BIG change on so many levels. I often wish I could press a rewind button and start back at 2005 again when life was easier.

I am sure Ella will love school and thrive wonderfullly well. From what you say here on your blog she has all the skills to manage without any problem. Think of starting school as an adventure and keep reminding her how much fun it will be. Unfortunately kids grow up too fast and can't stay home with their mums forever (somedays I wish this were true).
