I'm a Primary School Teacher by trade, but recently shut my classroom door to pursue other BIG dreams of Freelance Writing. I am also excited to announce that my first Children's Picture Book {So Many Sounds} will hit stores in June 2013. This blog is my little online space where I weave together my reflections and stories of Motherhood. I illustrate with photos.... and drink plenty of coffee to keep me going. I'm on a mission to turn the mundane moments of motherhood into MAGICAL ones.

I'd love to hear from you....comment on my posts or send me an email. Buckle up, Enjoy the ride!

Happy Birthday.

Thursday was Chris's birthday.

He had the flu. But we still celebrated at home. Just the 4 of us, which was nice.

The day kicked off early. The four of us snuggled in the king bed. Presents were unwrapped with the help of little hands. Chris's favourite gift - a handmade book from Ella; titled "Why I Love My Daddy".

And the handmade goodness continued during the day, with HAPPY BIRTHDAY DADDY posters:

And our first attempt at Tim Tam Cake Pops. They were YUMMY btw :)

And we ended the night with a home cooked dinner, party blowers & some family time.

Even with the flu, we can still celebrate the BIRTHday of the most important man in our life.

Happy Birthday Chris. I feel honoured to be celebrating another year with you.

We love you xx

Sounds like the perfect little family celebration to me!! In the first shot, I thought those Tim Tam pops were flowers :) Ella's writing is really good! Happy belated birthday to Chris!

Tim tam cake pops?!? Where have I been? I think it is so lovely that you all could spend the day together, wouldn't it be great if everyone could have their birthday home from work :)
