July Book theme. Bookworm Club.

After putting my BOOKWORM CLUB plans out there into the blogosphere, I have received some lovely emails, comments & Facebook messages from Mums, Carers & Teachers, who are keen to play along each month with the Scissors Paper Rock Bookworm Club. Thank-you! I'm excited to do this with you & your kiddlets!
So....let's DO THIS :)
July is the first month for us to dig into this fun with our kids, and the theme is: BUGS & INSECTS!
Interpret this as you may! Be creative! Have fun! And read, read, read :)
I chose this theme as there are SO many fantastic kids book out there, that have insects as the characters or focus on the world & lives of bugs!
Need some book inspiration or ideas? Amazon have listed the 25 Best Kids Books about BUGS. And they've compiled a list of Insect Books For Children. But please don't feel you have to choose from only these lists....there are soooo many other fab books out there for you to explore & enjoy! Check out the local library, browse a bookstore, search online....the choices are endless. Oh, and P.S. The Book Depository has a huge stock of books, at bargain prices plus free shipping! Remember there are minimal rules with this club. It's about having fun with our kids, whilst doing something meaningful & educational. Simply read some BUG/INSECT books with your kids and then do some follow-up activities together. Craft, explore, bake, make, hunt, draw, construct, discover, count, build, write.....are some prompts to give you some inspiration. And then please record your journey & experiences by taking photos, or writing about it. If you're a blogger - blog about it and share your fun. If you have instagram; share your photos & tag them with #SPRBookworms so we can all see them, gain ideas from them, and I can also share some of them on here. If you're on Facebook, you can create a photo album of your BOOKCLUB EXPERIENCES and share the link on here each month. Let's have fun together, and share our ideas.

Remember you have a whole month to participate. You may experience one book in that time, or a few.
