Welcome to the bloggy home of Claire Chadwick. I'm the face & designer behind Scissors Paper Rock Designs, a wife to Chris, Mummy to the Divine Miss Ella & our newest addition; Baby Ryder. I'm a Primary School Teacher by trade, but recently shut my classroom door to pursue other BIG dreams of Freelance Writing. I am also excited to announce that my first Children's Picture Book {So Many Sounds} will hit stores in June 2013. This blog is my little online space where I weave together my reflections and stories of Motherhood. I illustrate with photos.... and drink plenty of coffee to keep me going. I'm on a mission to turn the mundane moments of motherhood into MAGICAL ones.

Join me in seeping as much goodness out of life, {whilst I continue to drink way too much coffee & take way too many photos} and together we can make the most of our WILD & PRECIOUS LIVES!

I'd love to hear from you....comment on my posts or send me an email. Buckle up, Enjoy the ride!

Through My Wintery Lens.

Where we live in Queensland; we don't see extreme season changes. Hey, don't get me wrong....we know when it's summer compared to when it's winter, but we don't get snow this time of year - no HUGE changes in our environment.

However, it is cold at the moment. Very chilly nights & mornings, yet lovely mild days. And although we don't get extreme low temperatures or snow filled yards to play in, I still like to embrace each different season for what it's worth.

Winter here this week has meant:

Scarves have been dug out from the cupboards, and warm hats too.

{Ryder's hat from Kmart}

Winter here means bright leg warmers, boots, lots of layers......but bare arms in the midday sun. I like winter here.

{Leg warmers from MUDDY RUFFLES online, boots from Target & dress from Osh Kosh B'Gosh}

Winter here means we can still get out & about everyday. We can still enjoy nature, the sunshine & picnics in the forest:

And, winter here; ALWAYS means hot chocolates....with marshmallows of course:

What's winter like where you live? Mild & easy? Or extreme & cold?

Wagga's winters are terrible - minus temperatures, frosts, kids staying inside and layers layers of clothes! I can't wait to move to Qld!!!

Cute photos, especially Ryder in his winter hat :) After being a summer girl growing up, I started to really like winter and things like snuggling up on the couch in front of the heater with a warm drink in hand. Now that I have children, I still love it, but I hate the colds and flus that it brings!! My hands are like ice blocks while I'm sitting here typing this so I'm off to make a warm drink now myself :)
