Chill in the air.

We're well & truly into Autumn, but it's only these last few days that I've really started to notice the change in seasons & the chill in the air. It's not winter-cold yet....but the warm mornings of Summer are definitely fading away. The sun is rising a little later & setting a little earlier each day. The grass is covered with a mild soggy dew at first light and the mountain behind our house is blanketed in a doughy, misty cover as each day begins.

I love summer! But as I get older, I'm learning to embrace change & just roll with it. I WILL enjoy winter this year!! I will!

Maybe our pool lazing days & popsicle afternoons are starting to simmer out....

But hot chocolates & marshmallows are now calling. As well as slippers, cute hats, scarves, endless cups od coffee...and of course leg warmers....

Actually, I'm quite liking this Autumn weather....it's not too hot, yet not too cold. We snuggle up in the morning & evenings, but can still embrace the warmth of the day and grasp onto those last few summery moments of singlets & thongs & outside play.

However, I must admit....I quite like babies in snuggly winter pyjamas.....delicious....

What's your favourite season?

Growing up, especially in my teenage years I was a definite summer girl - days spent at the beach etc. I didn't even mind those super hot days. Nowadays, autumn or spring are definitely my favourite seasons - I love that its chilly enough as you say for snuggles and hot drinks and slippers and all things cosy, but the days are lovely enough to still enjoy outdoors. It's definitely starting to get cooler here over the past few weeks too. Ryder looks SO much like Ella in that last photo. I notice he's enjoying his rusk, Sophie is into them at the moment too... bring on those first teeth I say!! xx

My heart still belongs in Summer! Getting up at 5 in this 'coolness' is hard heheh and its not even winter yet ;-) we are installing a fireplace though so that might ignite my passion for winter :-)
