Welcome to the bloggy home of Claire Chadwick. I'm the face & designer behind Scissors Paper Rock Designs, a wife to Chris, Mummy to the Divine Miss Ella & our newest addition; Baby Ryder. I'm a Primary School Teacher by trade, but recently shut my classroom door to pursue other BIG dreams of Freelance Writing. I am also excited to announce that my first Children's Picture Book {So Many Sounds} will hit stores in June 2013. This blog is my little online space where I weave together my reflections and stories of Motherhood. I illustrate with photos.... and drink plenty of coffee to keep me going. I'm on a mission to turn the mundane moments of motherhood into MAGICAL ones.

Join me in seeping as much goodness out of life, {whilst I continue to drink way too much coffee & take way too many photos} and together we can make the most of our WILD & PRECIOUS LIVES!

I'd love to hear from you....comment on my posts or send me an email. Buckle up, Enjoy the ride!

Live! Laugh! Love!

snap it {up close}

This week's SNAP IT theme is: up close.

Last week, we had a break in the rain, so I took the chance to get out & about! I took the kids 1km up the road to the entrance of the amazing forest our house backs onto. It was the perfect way to get out of the house - chaos free. It was calm & quiet - just what I needed. The kids were happy, I was happy....we'll be doing more of that - enjoying nature & all that it has to offer.

We saw a Kangaroo just chillin' a few metres from the picnic table we stopped at for a snack, a few lizards, plenty of rain dropped leaves {or dew drops as Miss Ella calls them....sounds a lot more magical doesn't it?!}...and as soon as she opened her muesli bar wrapper....we were surrounded by birds....up close & personal :)

So we fed them :)

We then headed into the Koala Sanctuary, which was an awesome {free & educational} way to spend 20minutes with my 2 babies!!

***************

Mr Ryder is loving his purees! As you can see....he's not fading away.....he loves his food! Our gorgeous {not so little} man!

I love close up shots of him. His eyes make me melt! I hope they stay that colour.....or do I? We may have troubles with girls chasing him in the future......nice eyes on a boy can be a real lure. I know....coz he's got his Daddy's eyes :)

So, there's a few close up's from this last week!

Head over to Sarah's place to see more!

Happy Hump Day!
