A small bloggy break.....and some exciting news!
Monday, March 21, 2011 at 9:55AM Excuse my no-show of week-a-boo this week & my MIA from the bloggy scene lately....I'm still here :) I am loving reading all the comments that come to my phone & I'm still getting my daily fix of reading other people's blogs, but I have been away from my computer a lot more lately & have been VERY unwell. It's not that I've lost my bloggy mojo....it's still there....in fact my mind is busting with posts & ideas & photos to share, but due to feeling so sick, I haven't had the energy to edit photos, write & stay up late working & blogging!!!! But all for good {GREAT in fact} reason :) This photo will explain:
Yes.....I'm pregnant!!! YAY!!! And couldn't be happier :) After last year's pregnancy loss, this pregnancy has brought us so much joy, so much hope & so much happiness!! So...that explains the selling of the house ;) We need a bigger one basically :) We've outgrown our lovely little 3 bedroom haven!!! I'm still in the 1st trimester.....just under 10 weeks! And I know most people wait til after the 1st 12 weeks before they do the BIG REVEAL....but I have been busting at the seems for weeks now...wanting to share our exciting news!! And since this is my life-journal, my online record of our life, I owed to myself & to this little growing baby to start keeping track of the amazing journey! I blogged about Ella's pregnancy from 6 weeks & having that keep-sake is so precious to look back on now!
So, there you have it my online friends.....I hope this explains my lack of blogging lately. Morning sickness {more like ALL DAY SICKNESS} has me extremely unwell & struggling! The couch has become my new best friend, and exhaustion is my middle name! With this pregnancy classified as 'high risk' {after last year's surgery}, I have swapped my late nights of work & blogging for sleep. I have swapped my busy-action-packed days for slower, more restful days. To be honest, I do not enjoy this 1st trimester. Don't get me wrong.....I am so SO SO grateful to be pregnant & am willing to take anything, coz I know the prize at the end is so worth it!!! But I do find this 1st 12 weeks very tiring & stressful & scary & exhausting!
I had an ultrasound at 4.5 weeks to confirm it wasn't ectopic again, which obviously it wasn't! My next scan is booked for the 20th April....CAN'T WAIT!!!!
I can't wait to be a family of 4 :) I've always wanted to be a Mumma of 2! My dreams just may be coming true!!
So, please bare with me, whilst I continue to struggle through this next few weeks of the 1st trimester! This time is about ME, about looking after myself & my body and doing anything & everything to ease the sickness! I'm still here in the online world & will return to regular blogging when my sickness decreases, and my energy increases! Until then, I'm off to rest my happy heart & spend some time with my gorgeous little girl!

I know what you mean too by struggling in the first 12 weeks - i found them the most difficult as i was always so tired and exhausted....soon that will stop and you'll have your energy back. thanks for sharing this wonderful news

YAY!! for you and your lovely family - I thought (hoped) you were once your posts slowed down. 1st trimester will be over before you know it. Ella will love the journey - Lou talks and kisses my tummy everyday. She is so excited for the baby to come out!! They are at the perfect age to talk though it with and show compassion when your not feeling so well :) All the best and I look forward to hearing lots of updates!!
