Welcome to the bloggy home of Claire Chadwick. I'm the face & designer behind Scissors Paper Rock Designs, a wife to Chris, Mummy to the Divine Miss Ella & our newest addition; Baby Ryder. I'm a Primary School Teacher by trade, but recently shut my classroom door to pursue other BIG dreams of Freelance Writing. I am also excited to announce that my first Children's Picture Book {So Many Sounds} will hit stores in June 2013. This blog is my little online space where I weave together my reflections and stories of Motherhood. I illustrate with photos.... and drink plenty of coffee to keep me going. I'm on a mission to turn the mundane moments of motherhood into MAGICAL ones.

Join me in seeping as much goodness out of life, {whilst I continue to drink way too much coffee & take way too many photos} and together we can make the most of our WILD & PRECIOUS LIVES!

I'd love to hear from you....comment on my posts or send me an email. Buckle up, Enjoy the ride!

I Can See a Rainbow.....

"Look Ella, I can see a Rainbow, can you see it?" I say excitedly as I'm pointing out the car window!

"No Mumma.....no wainbow in my window" she replies, and then continues chatting to her dolly, showing absolute no interest in what I was saying ;o) As we drive on, I'm absolutely blown away by the beauty of this stream of colours across the sky! It really was the brightest, most perfectly lit rainbow I have EVER seen!

We pull up in the shopping centre carpark, I unstrap Ella from her toddler seat and we start to pace across the bitumen! Ella suddenly stopped in her tracks & stared into the sky in awe!!

"Wow....look Mummy....a wainbow!!"

Our 'quick pop down to the shops' ended up taking us 45 minutes, because Ella was fascinated by this piece of magic across the skyline! We stood in the carpark admiring it, discussing it & wondering what magic lay at the end of it for almost 15minutes:)

I was so happy that she had seen it for herself! It brought me a lot of joy to see how excited & amazed she was!

Seeing the world through a 2 year old's eyes truly is MAGICAL! Standing there in the busy carpark of our local shops....nothing else mattered! It was lovely to be lost in the world of wonder, imagination & beauty!

Ohhh....I love a good rainbow. How very lucky to find one so vibrant and to be able to show your child.
